Why React Native?
What makes React Native the right choice for modern engineering teams.
Native Components
Renders to real native iOS and Android UI components, not WebView.
Expo
Managed and bare workflows with OTA updates, EAS Build, and 50+ native modules.
New Architecture
JSI, Fabric renderer, and TurboModules for synchronous native communication.
React Navigation
Type-safe native stack, tab, and drawer navigation with deep linking.
Reanimated 3
GPU-accelerated animations running on the UI thread for 60fps performance.
TypeScript First
Full TypeScript support with official type definitions for all core APIs.
Modern Mobile Stack.
Should we use Expo?+
For most apps yes — the managed workflow removes a lot of build pain and now supports native modules through config plugins. Bare workflow when you need something Expo genuinely can't reach.
How painful are version upgrades?+
Honestly, it's React Native's biggest ongoing cost. We vet on upgrade experience specifically, because a team that's never done one will struggle at the worst moment.
Can they share code with our web app?+
Yes, typically business logic and API layers. Sharing UI components across web and native rarely works as well as it sounds.
Is performance really close to a fully native app?+
For most business apps, yes — the New Architecture's Fabric renderer removes the old bridge bottleneck. Where it still shows: heavy animation-driven UIs or camera-intensive apps, which is when we reach for native modules for that one screen instead of forcing everything through JS.
What happens after launch — do you stick around?+
We offer ongoing retainers for exactly this: OS update compatibility, dependency upgrades, and store review changes don't stop after v1 ships. Most teams keep one of our developers on part-time rather than rebuilding context from scratch every time something breaks.
